Description of the Project
After a proactive waste reduction at homes, “Point Fort Environment” continued the development of a sustainable and industrial waste treatment process by performing a waste recovery unit which gathers on the same site:
- The administrative and technical services of the local authority
- A sorting center for recyclables from the curbside, with a capacity of 8,000 tpa
- A composting / anaerobic digestion plant with a capacity of 72,000 tpa, for the recovery from waste of compost and energy
Site area : 8 hectares
Annual processing capacity : 72,000 tpa of which 60,000 t of residual waste and 12,000 t of green waste

- Sorting and preparation of MSW with BRS®
- Anaerobic digestion of sorted organic fraction with Kompogas® process
- Accelerated Maturation with ECOSILO®
- Production of normalized compost NFU 44051
- Air treatment process by washing and bio-filtration
- Combined production of electricity and heat from biogas
